Stitching Sisters

The James Stitching Sisters is a group of volunteers who create lap quilts for breast cancer patients receiving chemotherapy at JamesCare in Dublin. The group was formed in 2004 by Joanne Lester, a nurse practitioner at Ohio State's James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute. Today, the group includes hundreds of breast cancer survivors, caregivers, family members and friends interested in bringing warmth and strength to women receiving breast cancer treatment at the Comprehensive Breast Health Center at JamesCare in Dublin.
