Ohio State’s Comprehensive Cancer Center - James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute is proud to work with the Block family to recognize leadership in the field of cancer through the Herbert and Maxine Block Memorial Lectureship for Distinguished Achievement in Cancer. The lectureship supports an international competitive process which annually identifies an individual whose contributions to cancer research, patient care and/or education have received international recognition. In 2009, the monetary award was increased to $25,000, making the Block Memorial Lectureship Award one of the largest prizes awarded by an academic institution in the field of cancer.
