Blood tests

Blood tests are used to detect and examine abnormal cells and the loss of cell proteins. These include tests of red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets and sedimentation rate. Specific blood tests can help determine how aggressive a tumor may behave or whether a tumor is affecting the liver, kidneys or other parts of the body.
