The inaugural Photodynamic Medicine Symposium promises to be an exciting, collaborative exchange of ideas by a diverse group of experts from Europe, Asia and the United States and will feature the most recent and relevant advances in our understanding of photodynamic therapy (PDT).

Our keynote speaker will be the internationally-renowned scientist, Dr. Harubumi Kato. The architect and worldwide leader in the study of photodynamic therapy, Dr. Kato will present the “Past, Present and Future of PDT in Lung Cancer.” Other presentations will cover a wide range of subjects including sub-cellular targets, photosensitizing drugs, continuous low irradiance PDT and more.
 
The meeting will be attended by a writer from the Journal of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network and later featured in a supplement to their monthly publication. The OSUCCC – James is a charter member of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network, an alliance of 21 leading cancer centers in the United States dedicated to improving the quality and effectiveness of cancer care.
