The International Skin Carcinogenesis Conference is a biannual meeting that promotes the exchange of ideas by a diverse group of experts from Europe, Asia, Australia and the United States. The 2012 conference will feature the most recent and relevant advances in our understanding of the biological, cellular and molecular changes that occur during skin tumor development. It also will offer discussions about how the skin serves as a model system for the development and treatment of other tumors. There will be presentations covering squamous cell carcinoma, basal cell carcinoma and melanoma.

Sessions will focus on understanding the critical pathways for skin cancer development, genetic factors that can influence skin cancer susceptibility, how alterations in angiogenic/inflammatory pathways contribute to tumor development, and how intrinsic and extrinsic factors can modify the neoplastic process.

Also featured will be sessions on such cutting-edge topics as stem cells in skin carcinogenesis, and molecular-targeted therapies. In addition, roundtable discussions will examine current controversial topics in the skin cancer field.

The registration fee is $450 per person.
