Research Description

Dr. Kue's expertise is in community health promotion and achieving health equity in underserved minority populations, community-engaged research, and refugee and immigrant health.Her research applies the principles of community-engaged research to understanding and addressing cancer health disparities, including breast and cervical cancer prevention, cancer screening, and survivorship. She also examines the influence of culture, race, historical and refugee trauma, and intergenerational communication on cancer screening and health behavior. In addition, Dr. Kue is also interested in global women’s health issues, in particular cervical cancer prevention and HPV vaccination in low-resource countries.
