COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute (OSUCCC–James) is offering free head and neck cancer screenings from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday (4/26), on the fourth floor of Ohio State’s Eye and Ear Institute, 915 Olentangy River Road.
Media representatives are asked to call Medical Center Media Relations at 614-293-3737 to make arrangements to cover this event.
People who have any of the following symptoms should schedule a screening appointment: persistent sores in the mouth, hoarseness lasting longer than three weeks, sore throat that persists more than six weeks, or swelling of the neck that persists more than six weeks. Even if there are no symptoms, people who smoke or use alcohol may want to schedule an appointment.To register, call The James Line at 614-293-5066 or 800-293-5066. Appointments are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. Free parking is available in the attached surface lots.
