Oncology Nursing Fellowship Program

Postgraduate Fellowship in Oncology for Advanced Practice Nurses

The postgraduate fellowship in oncology for advanced practice nurses is a new program at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute (OSUCCC – James).

The program enables advanced practice nurses to gain first hand clinical experience and knowledge specific to oncology.

As the only cancer program in the country that features a National Cancer Institute - designated Comprehensive Cancer Center aligned with a nationally ranked academic medical center and a free standing cancer hospital on the campus of a large public university, the OSUCCC – James provides an exciting professional learning environment that fosters excellence in patient care, education and research.

Our Relationship-Based Care Model in combination with Evidence-based clinical care is the foundation of our fellowship program. The year-long fellowship includes both clinical and didactic focused study that covers the continuum of cancer care, from prevention and early detection through active treatment and on to survivorship and/or end-of-life care. During the fellowship program, participants will develop core oncology knowledge that will enable them to practice independently in any oncology setting while also having the opportunity to pursue a disease specific area of focus.
